Skali has finished his tests of the Proto V2 skates, the skates which ressemble the most to the final version that should be available in shops at spring 2008.

Besides the fact that some details are still undetermined, it's certain that the new skates will be sold with the new Hardcore frame and Matter Slalom wheels.
The advantages of this skate (as told by the manufacturer Wink):
- Lightweight in comparison to other slalom skates
- more precise and reactive
- the lowest frame on the market, so closer to the ground

Your opinion???

The wheels are a bit thin, (and the print seems to fade away really fast)
But the looks have surely improved since the last prototype in Bordeaux

And what frame sizes are available? For Seba's, I really like that they have women-friendly sized frames. Is this Skali women-friendly?
And these yellow wheels don't match any longer with our new forum colours Undecided Undecided Undecided

I hate how they look like football-shoes. :s
There's nothing edgy about them.
The wheels are awful, but that shouldn't be a reason not to get them.
And I see the space between the heel of the boot and the end of the frame still is being filled up by an extra part :s
But then again, seeing them on pictures is one thing, seeing them in real life can be completely different.
They also note that the frame is the frame that is lowest to the ground, but it seems to me that it's higher (probably because the heel is higher than the toe).
I do like the buckles though Smiley

Besides the wheels, I like the fact that they are already rockered...

i drived the prototyp in june of this year.

I dont like this V-Type Frame of Powerslide ... the boot is ok but the frame would be the first thing i would change ;-)

I tested the frame with the Maven skate ...

I still don't like the look a lot, but it did improve since Bordeaux, so that's a plus. The part that scares me about this skate is in the name: S3... I've skated on the speedskates S3 and these do look like them (except for the colour, the ones I've had where blue and thus way more beautifull Tongue ). If they've worked from this skate (wich could be possible, even I've thought of it before), I won't be getting these skates ever! Even the pain I've had in my seba's is nothing compared to the pain and blisters I've had from this skate, wich is the reason why I traded the shoes for the R2.
