Hi everyone,
I am very happy to announce my very first Skatefreestyle slalom workshop will be offered here in Belgium during the last weekend of February. I've become quite experienced at teaching over the past couple years, mostly by virtue of the fact that I have spent a lot of time hanging out with other skaters and helping them with their slalom. I have also assisted Naomi at her slalom workshops and retreats, am currently teaching a regular class to Lommel Inline with Tim, have coached privately, and most recently have completed a slalom instructor certification course. I would be very pleased if you would join me for my first official Skatefreestyle workshop.
The sessions will be structured thematically, and will consist of four two-hour sessions on skates, eight hours' total on-skate instruction time. We will be working on different slalom tricks in light of themes such as speed, amplitude, and smoothness, as well as looking at transitions and freestyle combinations. It is my goal to help you become the skater YOU want to be, so I would like to know what you are personally looking to achieve, whether it be learning new tricks, improving your style, or something else. This workshop is appropriate for beginner to advanced slalomers, as the thematic approach ensures that everybody will be working on something appropriate to his or her level. However, if you are completely new to skating in general, this workshop may not be right for you. If you are wondering, though, don't be shy to ask.
This workshop will be limited to ten registrants, so please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to attend. Most likely we will be meeting in a sporthall in Leopoldsberg with a very nice floor, but I will update if the location changes. If you will be coming from out of town, please let me know and I will help you find your way here and around.
