Freestyle slalom skating competitions.

(I know you have a section for competitions, I am looking for some where I can see where these competitions are being held in advance, not after the fact)

Is there a way of finding out where/when these competitions are being held??

Like in the States or even Canada for that matter if ever??

Thanks

Hey,
there is the website of the worldslalomseries. It's http://www.worldslalomseries.com
It has all of the competitions on there.
We, or the organizers of the competitions, try to post here in advance too.
For information about slalom in the usa or canada, u want to check out http://www.freestyleskaters.org
I think they're linked on the main site too.

Maybe cu at some of the competitions then Smiley

The wife is a American, and we travel there on a regular basis, so the States is where I would like to see the competitions really. As for (Maybe cu at some of the competitions then Smiley) you just never know......Smiley

I would love to see Sébastien Laffargue in action, does he still compete?? (I guess he does, just read something on the link you gave me, he is so good)

Thanks again for the link, and the reply.

I tried the  http://www.freestyleskaters.org link and all I could find is June/09 am I missing something or is that the latest  competition???

Hey,

The "Battle US III" was the one and only in the USA this year. As you can see on this link, there are more battles in Europe and Asia.

You can see on the world ranking (which you also can find on that website) that Seba only competed in 4 battles in the last 12 months, so you'll have to be lucky to see him in action. At most of the competitions he judges.

See you,
Michy

Thanks for the link,
Sebastien Laffargue does still compete in somethings.
As he was in this one, (The second Itlalian Slalom Battle was held on May 2nd in Ancona, Italy. Igor Cheremetieff (FRA) won the battle men's final in front of Xuan Le (Fra), Sebastien Laffargue (Fra))

How come there isn't many competitions in North America any more???

If you leave the 'anymore' out of it, it would be the right question. In North America it's a reletivly new sport and BattleUS 3 was actually only the 3rd competition held in the US or the entire North America.
(But it was a lot of fun and the level of skating was awsome!)

I heard there are supposed to be a bunch of mini-battles this year in the US.
I *think* there will be one at the US inline Open in Chicago this month, but you would probably want to check their website.
There will be one in New York in July or August, also, *i think.*
as well as Battle US IV in San Francisco for sure, june 12-13th.
there will be at least a slalom workshop in boston around fourth of july.
if you are still interested i can find out specifics and post.
