About communication & videos : a message from Slalom Skating :

The final step of the freestyle world cup will be the first slalom competition that will be visible LIVE via the internet.
The SlalomSkating team will do it and we hope that this first test will work at best.

From IFSA Wink:

"Dear,

This week end took place the final event of the IFSA-FIRS Freestyle Skating World Cup.
The event took place in the centre of Barcelona as part of a Major city festival.

It was a big success in term of organisation and in term of sports. All the sportsmen gave the best of them throughout the week-end. This last World Cup for 2008 in Barcelona, offer the possibility to the skaters to obtain more points for the World Cup Ranking. (results attached)

On Saturday, The skaters made their show in front of a massive public and that, up to late in the evening. This was a good display for our sport and we believe that will generate desire in the public of all age who stay and watch Freestyle skating. Unfortunately, we had to move the event into an indoor place in Sunday, following bad weather forecast, this had a drastic impact in number of people in the public.

The organisation gave a total of 42 prizes during the week end, for the World Cup final ranking and for this step. Among these prizes we can congratulate; S.Veronesse (S.s W - Ita); C. Lejeune (F.s W - Fra); C. Dellantonio (F.j W - Ita); Y.Fort (S.s M - Fra); R.Tessier (F.s M - Fra) and L.Catroux (F.j M - Fra) for their great performance this week end and constancy throughout the World Cup Season. You can find enclosed the results of this Results.

In the meantime it was really good to see many Spanish skaters, this is the results of the continuous development of Freestyle sports in Spain, with the Support of Rodats association, all its partner and the IFSA. We believe in the future of Spain as a great Nation of Freestyle Skating.
Once again the Italian send a lot of skaters, in both men and women category... Both Italian National Team and non, show off a great support one to each other, witch spread a good spirit of competition during this event. The best moment was definitely in speed slalom where tension was as high as the passion.
Sadly, the France was not able to send a National Team following the resignation of their coach. We wish him all the best future and hope that France will build their new team with success for the next events.

We are looking forward to be with you next year, to propose more events, more sports and more show. To develop our passion and to build our sport. The Board Meeting will take place on the 18th October, do not forget to register at (maxime@ifsasports.org)

Once again, a great congratulation to Rodats Association, its partner, its staff for the success of their organisation and to Mr Flores for his personal investment in this event.

More information will be forwarded by our team in the next few day.

Sports regards,

Maxime Galichet
IFSA General Secretary"

I'm sorry but all I've remembered is that Team France's coach has resigned.
Are there any details about this?

The video's of the event are very nice as well. Do you know if the live-streaming had a lot of success? (I wasn't watching, too busy skating myself Smiley)
