We were asked again by ophm to organize the slalom part (demo/workshop/(speed) competition, ...) on the Tofsport day that is organized in Leuven on Sunday June 22nd around the Ladeuzeplein in Leuven, city center. As last year we will have the Jan Stasstraat for skate only: agressive, skate initiation and slalom. Last year there was place enough for 2 or 3 full slalom tracks. We have life radio support from MIX FM, so it is an excellent opportunity to promote slalom. Pictures of last year: http://picasaweb.google.com/emma.vanrompuy/Tofskate24062007So, who's joining? Initiation, of course! Despite the rain, we had at least 10 people for the speed slalom competition last year! Maybe we can do this again. Because there will be also many agro skaters (mind the gap!), they might be interested to try something different. Is Vickster coming? The Leuven skaters love her dance moves (so do I). Also the combo's always attract people. And maybe we can all practice a small run: 20 cones up and down... I will start to practice something like that. I think the speed competition is a good idea. And an introduction course is maybe also a good idea, if people are interested. But then we should make clear that we are open to give an introduction. Maybe we can make a time shedule and give 3 times an introductory course or something like that?
And shouldn't we make flyers with the adress of the website?

Naast de initiatie, de Jump Mobile en het streetparcours, is een deel van de straat voorbehouden aan de kunstenaars van Conecrazy. Ze zetten de kegeltjes uit en tonen je alle creatieve vormen van slalom. Kijk maar even op www.conecrazy.be en ontdek zelf dat slalom meer is dan alleen maar zig-zag rijden. Niet alleen is het hedendaagse slalom een swingende belevenis om te zien, je kan het ook proeven. De ervaren pro’s geven je graag een woordje uitleg. We 'll have to show our best slalom to fulfil these expectations   |
