Hey, just wanted to say I'm off to Italy for some snowboarding, and I'll be back on sunday the 6th of April.

If you want to practice in Diepenbeek; this saturday was already occupied, but maybe the next one is still available.
You guys are old enough to get things started Smiley

See you guys in a week and keep on practicing ! :whip:

Have a nice trip!
I hope that you find more stability on your snowboard than I do lately on my skates (I finally changed to a real banana set-up yesterday and I for sure gained in flexibility, oh yeh!)

But I'm already looking forward to the new summer skate season...

I hope you can still schedule a small private skate event in one of your halls.

Right... we were invited to a wedding party of 2 Italian colleagues... so we have been a week in the "mafia" part of Italy.
Pictures here: http://picasaweb.google.com/emma.vanrompuy/SouthItaly_15_22_07_2008

We took a Rynair flight to Rome and rented a car. The first part was an overnight drive (no pictures) from Rome to the top of the Vesuvius, where we arrived at 3am (in the middle of the night!). We had some sleep and waited for the sun to come up, resulting in some nice views on the bay of Naples. Because of the knee operation of Luc this year, we were not able to walk till the volcano top and we went back down to visit Pompei. We had an hotel in the dirty and not-interesting beach area at the south side of Naples "Torre del Greco". Next day, we did the be beautiful cliff coast of Amalfi, driving south towards the nice small holiday town "Tropea" with some excellent snorkeling beaches in Capo Vaticano and Grotticelli.
From there we went to the actual wedding place on the most southern point of Italy in "Melito di Porto Salvo". The full IMEC delegation was in an excellent hotel in Lazarro with a nice view on the active Etna in Sicily.

Wedding pictures....

... and those of Luc:

From there, we went back north and visited the city of Napoli and the interesting volcanic area of Pozzuoli and the world oldest Greek colony in Cuma at the west side of  Napoli. On this beautiful site with a marvellous sea view we found only "2" other (Italian) tourists....

Curious about your holiday reports as well!
